Gta 4 is the best game ever

Though it was made exclusively for handheld devices, it can now be even played on a cell phone, which is an incredible feat considering how expansive the game is. It also features fun mini-games not found in the proper games in the series, such as actually having to hot-wire a car before players can drive it.

Vice City is best known for the introduction of zany cheats, such as turning a vehicle into a flying car, which became a classic staple of GTA games. It also added tons of new vehicles like planes, motorcycles, and helicopters. After the release of Vice City , Rockstar plunged even further into satire and social commentary, and San Andreas is the best example of exactly that.

The contrast between the gangbangers and the Mulholland Dr. But on top of that, there were some major RPG and customization elements added to the game, including buying property, getting haircuts, and working out, not to mention that San Andreas has the best GTA map.

Though GTA III is certainly not better than the ones that came after it, it has such a high score because it was the very first of its kind. Not only that, but GTA V marked the first time that the whole world was free to explore from the very beginning, as every other entry in the series had sectors of the map blocked off until players progressed through the game. And even though the game is almost eight years old by this point and fans have moved on to the online mode, the world is so big that people are still finding new things to do in story mode.

Heavily inspired by Los Angeles , the fictional city of Los Santos is the perfect playground in which players can cause chaos. Every inch of the city is lovingly crafted with each area typically having its own unique look and feel to it. It's also incredibly large and, unlike many other open world games with huge maps , it generally keeps barren space to a minimum. It could certainly be argued that the decision to base Los Santos on a real-world city was a bit of a short cut, but it also presents its own set of unique challenges.

While creating a world from scratch requires imagination, recreating an area necessitates a level of detail that few developers have the time or skill to accomplish. What Rockstar achieved with Los Santos is incredible and worthy of all of the praise and success the game has garnered over the years.

Everything about its world is enchanting and feels far more alive as a result of its many whimsical elements. Having numerous books from which to build on certainly helped CDPR in their endeavors, but that should take nothing away from the fantastic work that they did designing Skellige and the game's other playable areas. What's more, the inhabitants of the game's world are just as magical and contribute an awful lot to the player's immersion.

It's a fantastic place to explore and one that never gets old due to how many secrets are hidden throughout it. Of course, this is just one of many things that makes The Witcher 3 such a wonderful game, but it's perhaps the standout. The Grand Theft Auto series has always been hugely influential, as evidenced by the countless GTA clones that have been released over the years.

GTA V takes the series to new heights though, with interchangeable protagonists, a larger world, more vehicles than ever and a plethora of other additions and enhancements.

Put simply, it has redefined the open-world sandbox genre. Ultimately, the game is something for other developers to aspire to and a good benchmark against which future games' greatness can be measured. The Elder Scrolls is right up there with Grand Theft Auto when it comes to the influence that they have had on their respective genres and Skyrim is the series' greatest entry to date. Sure, its storytelling may hold it back a little at times and it has its fair share of bugs and glitches.

Aside from that though, it excels in pretty much every department. Open-world RPGs have become increasingly popular over the last decade and Bethesda's game is undoubtedly one of the driving forces behind the genre's growth.

It has helped to raise the bar when it comes to player expectations and in turn has pushed other developers to new heights. The lush and lavish vehicles of Grand Theft Auto V are amazing. Which is saying something. Striking the corner of your car will dent solely the corner and popping a tire will see the air slowly seep out. Many times I would go as fast as I could into oncoming traffic just to see how much damage detail I could cause. However, in Grand Theft Auto V, turning down the wrong alley during a police chase and seeing even a semi-climbable wall will fill you with more fear than coming home to mom after the street lights came on.

Terrifying and regretful. The introduction of the open waters of Los Santos most definitely deserves a few hand claps. It almost creates another open world map for gamers to explore, with scuba diving and submarine activities adding extra motivation to discover.

Especially when bringing a helicopter down towards the water with waves flowing naturally away from the center. Aside from occasionally being a subplot to the main story, girlfriends hold a special place in our hearts as an added structure device for our protagonist.

As long as you have money, she will always have the time. A lesser known feature unique to Grand Theft Auto IV is its unique interactions with the world around you. Unlike GTA V , there are far more things to engage with when just walking down the street. A rock or soda can be used to chuck through a window or knock objects out the hands of NPCs. Explosions and fires also play a part, both of which can do tremendous damage to nearby structures.

However, compared to Grand Theft Auto V, the later might be preferred. Though for the first time ever in a GTA game we were introduced to a three-player system, the story in it occasionally strayed away from the beaten path, making things hard to follow.

I was able to sympathize and feel for the Russian oaf trying to make it in America, more than I was; an up and coming gangster, rage filled hillbilly or bank robber turned family-man going through a midlife crisis.

They say less is more and, in this case, I think they were right.
