Pryda roof software

Once completed, each block was transported by road to the Chandler building site where builder Geoff Booth from Tara Homes used the massive concrete floor slab as a base for erecting the roof trusses before they were lifted by crane into place onto the timber frame. The original roof design was first tested on the smaller pool house, which involved only six standard roof trusses with the remainder made using saddles and outrigger trimmers.

Once the success of the roof design was confirmed on the pool house, they set to work on the rest of the house beginning with the master bedroom suite, followed by the raked trusses of the lounge and dining rooms, then the left wing with bedrooms one to five and the centre section with its curved tunnel ceiling, and finally the right wing. Geoff Booth said he could not have completed the job, which took three months alone to finish the frame and roof truss erection, without the active assistance of Bretts Frame and Truss and Pryda experts who impressed from the first meeting and were in constant communication throughout the entire project.

He was also impressed with the flexibility and capabilities of the latest Pryda Build software to deal with such a large and complex roof design.

Since Jan this year, Pryda fabricators have been able to share this information easily with customers on each job, in an industry wide initiative supported by the FTMA. With the constraints of COVID, getting to your site to run sessions with your builders has meant we have had to come up with a different plan. Making time to stay on top of learning and development will result in improved productivity.

One of the most important benefits of Design 7. The comprehensiveness of its database allows users to design timber structures and specify preferred brands and products. They can also produce the associated engineering reports and certification documentation as required.

Anyone can register to download and use it. Access is available at varying levels, including the ability to design timber structures and produce the appropriate certificates where accredited to do so. Quick and simple to use, designIT for Houses is useful for the selection of beam sizes without the need for engineering knowledge or the exercise of professional engineering judgment.

Up to recently, this has been the domain of steel and concrete systems or referred to experienced timber design engineers. Contributors include construction news writers, thought leaders and industry pros. Your email address will not be published.
